A Trickle of Semester Missionaries

One of TIBM’s frequent prayer requests is for the Lord of the harvest to send forth more workers, so we are excited to currently have a few individuals at various stages of joining our ministry.  Praise God!

First, our newest intern is our Bhutanese Nepali sister Diku.  Besides assisting in outreach and discipleship among fellow Bhutanese Nepalis, Diku is also providing some much needed administrative assistance to our team leader Cody.  Pray that Diku’s internship will equip her with skills and experiences which will positively influence her service to the Lord for many years to come.

Second, we expect our team member Katie’s good friend Abby to arrive very soon.  Abby had been praying about what the Lord would have her do and came to visit briefly this summer.  Given her heart and experience working with university students, Abby plans on serving the Lord at the ever expanding College of DuPage.  Please pray that God will open the door for Abby to build relationships with students at COD who have not encountered Jesus before.

Finally (for now), our summer intern Andy is in the process of trying to return here in January.  Please ask God to make the logistical-type tasks (completing applications, enrolling in another school, maybe getting a car) go smoothly and to continue to distill and clarify what Andy might be doing next semester.

Please pray for unity, fellowship and sharing of gifts to increase among our team as we welcome these semester missionaries.

  1. Abby is here and has been settling in. She has a part-time job on the COD campus and has been praying often before her shift — praise God! Please pray that God will lead her to students who are ready to learn to follow Jesus.

Andy has been approved as an intern for 2013 and has obtained a car — praise God! He will likely be taking classes at COD. Please pray as he finishes his semester and continues to prepare for his move in January.
