Twenty pages in one week?

“There’s good news and bad news,” Cody said.

The good news?  Cody has been asked to write about Lausanne III (Cape Town 2010) for a book that will trace important global missiological happenings in the past century since Edinburgh 1910.  The other chapter authors include many prominent missiologists.  Cody is humbled and greatly honored to have this opportunity.

The bad news?  As you may have guessed from the title, Cody’s chapter must be about twenty pages and submitted by January 2.  Yup.  2011.

UPDATE: A road trip that was supposed to start on Jan. 2 has been delayed until the 9th.  So Cody now has another week for writing!

Please intercede on Cody’s behalf.  Pray that Cody will be able to set aside the time he needs to reflect and write and that the Lord would prevent distractions and help Cody to focus.  With most of the TIBM staff out of town, there are not many others who can help with urgent situations; please pray that no urgent situations would arise during this time period.  Ask the Lord to give Cody insights so that this chapter will be helpful to the Church for generations to come.

  1. Wow! That’s awesome! I’ll be lifting you up this week Cody. Maybe you can literally hide somewhere for a couple days if need be. Praying for God to allow you the time you need and much physical comfort too. Blessings on your week and your writing.
