Welcoming a New Family

This week, Lord willing, TIBM will be helping to welcome a new family to the U.S.  This family of 8 fled as refugees from war-torn Somalia to Uganda and are now being resettled into our area.  Through our partnership with Exodus World Service, we have learned of this family’s imminent arrival in the U.S. and their need for basic household supplies (like dishes, linens, toilet paper, and salt).  One of our financial supporters has made a generous donation to assist us in purchasing these supplies.  We plan on presenting these gifts and helping the family settle into their first apartment in the States — their new home.

We do not know what God has planned for this family but we have seen God do amazing things in the lives of some of the other families we have welcomed in the past.  Please pray with us that we might see God’s blessings upon this family too!

Please pray that this family will have a relatively comfortable journey to the U.S. and that they will feel very welcomed by the TIBM church and team members greeting them.  Pray that some of the youth from Tensae, Karen Baptist Church, and TriEak Parmeshwar Mandali will seek to become friends with this family’s youth.  Ask the One True God to give this family the Peace that passes understanding as they adjust to living in the U.S.  May the Lord bless this family with Love and Truth.
